Even before <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">MOMO<\/span><\/span> was officially founded, racing driver and entrepreneur <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Gianpiero Moretti<\/span><\/span> developed these early handcrafted sports steering wheels for racing use in 1964. The Monte-Carlo impressed with its diameter, grippy leather rim, and then-revolutionary ergonomics.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"1040\">The PRE-MOMO version was produced before the actual trademark registration and therefore bears only early Moretti markings instead of the later MOMO logo.
